Yesterday the Qaddafi Foundation for Charities and development Saif
al-Islam, son of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in the city of Benghazi laying the
cornerstone of the complex project "Al-mawg tower" investment cost of 300
million dinars.
This is a complex venture, which laid the basis of the presence of Secretary
of the General People's Committee d. Baghdadi Mahmudi, and a number of
members of the Committee and Director of Branch retirement fund in Benghazi
joint venture between the company retirement fund investments, and fund
economic and social development.
It will take a period of the implementation of the project which will be
held on Waterfront city of Benghazi 28 months.
This complex consists of three towers of the investment includes the tower
first five-star hotel and II buildings and administrative offices luxurious
with a third tower and luxury housing units.

A Saif al-Islam Gaddafi yesterday also laid cornerstone of new airport
presence of the Secretary General People's Committee and secretary of the
General People's Committee for Communications and Transport and the
Secretary of the GPC Benghazi
The Canadian company SNC Lavalin Nexacor has 24 months to build the new
airport.
The new airport will comprise a passenger station of a capacity of 5 million
travelers per year and its construction plan provides for an extension
depending on growth in air traffic industry.
It will be equipped with 20 operational gates at rush hours expected to
reach a capacity of 4,000 travelers per hour, in addition to 10 secondary
tarmacs for parking planes.
The airport will also comprise a freight station of 150,000 tonnes per year,
as well as landing runways that can host 45 planes per hour and empowered to
receive planes of the latest Airbus 330 type.
Tepe-Akfen-Vie
(TAV) Construction has won the tender for construction
of Tripoli International Airport in Libya, a statement
by the company said on Tuesday.
Releasing a statement,
the company noted that the consortium, including TAV
Construction, Brazilian-centered Odebrecht and Lebanese CCC
companies, was formally awarded with the tender.
Within the scope of
the project to be launched within a month, a terminal of 350,000
square meters and the most modern airport in the region will be
constructed.
The terminal will have
a passenger capacity of 20 million while the parking lot will be
available for 4,400 vehicles. The airport is expected to be
constructed within two years.
Brazilian Odebrecht
company has built the Miami Airport in Florida, USA while
Lebanese CCC has constructed Beirut International Airport.
The project consists
of the refurbishment works involves the renovation of the Hotel
Al Massira which is located in Tobruk, Libya. The project is
owned by the Social Security Fund and TML is the main contractor
for the project.
The Hotel Complex
includes 88 twin-rooms, 28 double-rooms, 8 suites, 2
presidential suites, 16 studio type rooms, 2 studio type
presidential suites, and 17 villas and will sever for 289 beds.
In addition to the public and general service areas, the hotel
also includes an auditorium with a seating capacity of 153
people, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a lobby lounge
for 134 people, a coffee house for 103 people, a restaurant with
a capacity of 167 people, a conference hall for approximately
150 people, and shops.
The project consists of completing the
construction work of three blocks for Al Fateh Hospital which are
located in the city of Al Marj. Structural works were
completed by another contractor. TML work scope is to remedy defects
on the completed parts and also to undertake all other finishing
works for the final completion of the building.

have different areas like, laboratories, morque units, central
sterilization unit, disinfection area, operating rooms, delivery
care patient units, general intensive care unit, patients care units
etc

Libya
said on Monday that work has begun on a new one billion Euro
airport for the capital Tripoli which will be able to
welcome 20 million travelers per year.
The work is being carried out by a consortium of six
companies including Vinci of France,
Oderbrecht
of Brazil and TAV of Turkey, under the supervision of a French
research consultancy; state news agency JANA cited project
director Abdel Majid Sadah as saying. The 1,165 hectare
(2,878 acre) site will be able to handle up to 100 planes,
with a car park capacity of 4,400 spaces, Sadah said.
Transport
Minister Mohammed Abu Ajila said the new airport would
inaugurate a "radical change" in the country's air transport
sector, adding that a further 2 billion euros have been set
aside to modernize other airports in the country.
